Trust the Process
It is important in life and work to stay dialed in to the process of growth, development, recovery, or improvement when progress feels slow. Resist the temptation to measure progress by your feelings, circumstances that aren’t changing as fast as you want, and subjective outcomes.
Growth doesn’t always happen the way you think it should, and it’s a mistake to put your unique path in a box. Here are some things to remember on the way to leveling up:
Growth Isn’t Linear
Some days feel great, some feel difficult. Both are part of the process and not a sign that you’re stuck in neutral or going backward.
Focus on Your Purpose
When motivation dips, go back to your original intent. Knowing why you are doing it in the first place creates energy and momentum, which leads to consistent movement.
Acknowledge Your Wins
Remind yourself all the time that you’re not where you started. There has been progress if you’re putting in the work, even if you don’t see or recognize it yet. Every lesson, attempt, and adjustment counts toward your goals and desired performance.
Slow Progress is Still Progress
One step forward is a step in the right direction. The next breakthrough may be closer than you realize. Keep going and don’t quit.
